【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestwomethodsforthemeasurementofthehydroxylnumberofpolyolsusedaspolyurethanerawmaterials.Itisnecessarytoknowthehydroxylcontentofpolyolstoproperlyformulatepolyurethanesystems.MethodAisprimarilyapplicabletoreadilyesterifiedpolyetherpolyols.Itisalsorecommendedforpolyolswhichhavesignificantsterichindrance,suchasthosebasedonsugars.MethodBisrecommendedforpolyetherpolyols,polymerpolyolsandamine-initiatedpolyols,butmaygivelowresultsforstericallyhinderedpolyols.Otherpolyolsmaybeanalysedbythesemethodsifprecautionsaretakentoverifyapplicability.Thesemethodscanbeusedforresearchandforqualitycontrolandspecificationpurposes.
