Scope:This standard establishes the essential minimum safe performance requirements for electrically heated pitot (total pressure) tubes and for pitot-static pressure tubes for subsonic transport aircraft. This standard covers the following basic types: Type I - Pitot pressure, straight and L-shaped, electrically heated, and Type II - Pitot and static pressures, straight and L-shaped, electrically heated.
