【摘要】:Oxidativeinductiontimeisarelativemeasureofthedegreeofoxidativestabilityofthematerialevaluatedattheisothermaltemperatureofthetest.Thepresence,quantityoreffectivenessofantioxidantsmaybedeterminedbythismethod.TheOITvaluesthusobtainedmaybecomparedfromonehydrocarbontoanotherortoareferencematerialtoobtainrelativeoxidativestabilityinformation.Typicalusesincludetheoxidativestabilityofedibleoilsandfats(oxidativerancidity),lubricants,greases,andpolyolefins.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationoftheoxidativepropertiesofhydrocarbonsbydifferentialscanningcalorimetryorpressuredifferentialscanningcalorimetryandisapplicabletohydrocarbonsthatoxidizeexothermicallyintheiranalyzedform.1.2TestMethodA8212;Adifferentialscanningcalorimeter(DSC)isusedatambientpressure,forexample,about100kPaofoxygen.1.3TestMethodB8212;ApressureDSC(PDSC)isusedathighpressure,forexample,3.5MPa(500psig)oxygen.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5ThistestmethodisrelatedtoISO11357x2013;6butisdifferentintechnicalcontent.ThistestmethodisrelatedtoCECL-85x2013;Tbutincludesadditionalexperimentalconditions.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninNote5andNote13.
